Wir begleiteten die Entstehung von İlker Çataks Golderner-Bär-Gewinner GELBE BRIEFE von der Vorproduktion, über die Betreuung am Set bis zur Umsetzung der VFX. Die Arbeit umfasste dabei sowohl komplexe Crowd-Multiplication für Innen- und Außenszenen, im Studio gedrehte Autofahrten, aber auch das Ein- und Ersetzen von Hintergründen, Schriftzügen und Plakaten sowie eine Mixtur kleiner aber feiner Retuschen.
Synopsis: Derya und Aziz, ein gefeiertes Künstlerehepaar aus Ankara, führen mit ihrer 13-jährigen Tochter Ezgi ein erfülltes Leben – bis ein Vorfall bei der Premiere ihres neuen Theaterstücks alles verändert. Über Nacht geraten sie ins Visier des Staates und verlieren ihre Arbeit und ihre Wohnung. Sie gehen nach Istanbul, wo sie vorläufig bei der Mutter von Aziz unterkommen. Während sich Aziz mit Gelegenheitsjobs durchschlägt und an seinen Überzeugungen festhält, sucht Derya nach einem Ausweg, der sie finanziell unabhängig macht. Nach und nach vergrößert sich die Distanz zwischen ihnen und ihrer Tochter, bis sie sich zwischen ihren Wertvorstellungen und der gemeinsamen Zukunft als Familie entscheiden müssen.
We had the pleasure to create the VFX of İlker Çatak's Golden Bear winning feature YELLOW LETTERS and accompany the creation of the film from pre-production and on-set supervision to VFX production in post. The work included complex crowd multiplication in interior and exterior settings, car rides filmed in studio, as well as the insertion and replacement of backgrounds, lettering, and posters, and a mixture of small but subtle cleanup work.
Synopsis: Derya and Aziz, a celebrated artist couple from Ankara, lead a fulfilling life with their 13-year-old daughter Ezgi – until an incident at the premiere of their new play changes everything. Overnight, they find themselves targeted by the state and lose their jobs and their home. They move to Istanbul to temporarily stay with Aziz’s mother. While Aziz ekes out a living with odd jobs and holds on to his convictions, Derya searches for a way to become financially independent. An increasing distance grows between them and their daughter until they are forced to choose between their values and their shared future as a family.
